You want emerald shiners! There is a bait store east of baudette about 8 miles that is ok but i cant remember the name of the bait store about 5 miles from adrians but they have live and frozen shiners usually!

Log Cabin Bait and Adrian's did not have live shiners this past weekend, they did have frozen ones though.

I don't know about the bait shop in Baudette you are referring to.

It's a two story white building the people who own it live above! I think hwy 2 that runs by red lake almost dead ends into it!When you go left towards baudette its a block or two down on the right! Hope this helps! the address might not actually be baudette1

I have been a live emerald shiner guy myself for the past years and being I didn't trap many last fall I have been fishing with chubs and to tell the truth it didnt make any differance at all actually I like em better easier to keep alive than emeralds and they work just as good. with all the small shiners I had every night not worth catching there were gazillions of them every night till freeze up, there will be an abundant supply this fall! Good to know the fall supply will be there this year. Thanks Steve. Hope this means we'll have a better walleye run up the river as well!!!
