Anyone having any luck out on Big Twin? Was thinking of maybe heading that way.... what depths??

They were biting very good, but I haven't been out there since last week. The key for me was get away from the crowd.

Sorry can't help you much there.. I caught fish shallower and deeper then 10 feet. The deepest I fished was 13 if i remeber right and 6 or 7 for the shallowest, but the majority of fish were caught in 9 to 12 foot range.

dead sea, been skunked the last 3 times out! Gunna hit the Fairmont chain

hit 3 good days before big storm systems. other than that been very very dead.

Dead sea is right! One 13" eye from 2:30 - 10:00 yesterday.

Was out this past weekend. The bite is a lot slower then what it was. Did manage to catch a couple nice crappies. Was in about 10 feet also.

I am thinking of heading out there tonight or tommorrow. Anyone been out there lately? How is the access are you still able to drive out there easily? I am thinking this weekend and next week should be good once the water and slush refreezes.

Has anyone been out to check the ice on big twin recently? was thinking of giving it a shot Monday evening, but havent checked the ice and dont wanna do it at dark tommorow! Is it safe to walk out with a portable?

I haven't been out there yet this year. I also haven't heard anything about the lake lately and I guess i have just been catching enough fish everywhere else. That i havent tried it but now i'm thinking i will have to head over there sometime this week. I will let you all now what i find out there.

Fished there yesterday and I would say definatly give it a shot this weekend. Lots of little perch to hold you over until the evening/night bite starts. Than you should be able to pull in some nicer fish. I was fishing in 8 to 9 feet and had 14 to 15inchs of ice.
