We will see if this is just a teaser or the real deal. The team has the parts to be a borderline 8-9 spot playoff team, but preseason showed a lack of any chemistry. This game though looked a lot better.

Cullen had three great chances, finally got one through on the third. I thought the wheels were coming off in the first half of the second. They turned it around after their 2nd PP goal.

Cullen played pretty well. The feed to the backdoor to Koivu was a great play. I really hope Koivu will have a huge season because we could really use more of him the way he played last night.

You could see that Koivu really stepped it up toward the end of the second and everyone else followed. I was getting worried after a flat beginning to the second. Still way to many penalties, they got lucky spending half the 1 and second period in the box.

I didn't get to see too much of the game but what I did see looked decent. We took a lot of penalties but the refs were calling a lot of border line stuff. Seems to work that way every season, call way too much at the start of the season and let a little too much go at the end.

The Oilers do look like they have some nice young talent but I think it will take some time for them to grow up. I also didn't realize we have beat them like 13 or now 14 strait games, clearly we "ownes" them!
