Fishing Oct. 1 to 3rd

I will be up in the Finland area grouse hunting the first weekend of October. Any ideas for some daytime fishing between morning and evening walks for grouse? No boat, and I'll probably only have a few hours a day. Just trying to figure out what I need to bring along.

with no boat i would suggest to go after stream trout in lakes. good fishing off shore can be found on hogback and divide for rainbow and splake. goldeneye for brook trout and echo for rainbow and splake. casting spinners and small spoons or nightcrawlers pumped with air on a lindy rig would work on these lakes. there is a dnr dock on dumbell off the road up from the landing where you have a chance for walley and smallies. muskey in there too. any more questions just ask.
