hunters safety for bow hunting?`

do you need your hunters safety to bow hunt for for deer? i thought you needed it for hunting all big game, but my buddy said his wife has been hunting with her bow and doesnt have her gun safety. thanks for any info.

Pretty sure its called gun safety for a reason. Dont think you need it for a bow. If it is required you cant purchase a license without it.

Nope, you dont need it to hunt deer with a bow, even if you're born after 1979. Been doing it 6 years now myself, and have never taken the course.

they require bow hunter saftey in montana and a few others out there

mn dnr offers bow hunter education classes, certainly couldn't be a bad thing to look into

As an aside, I have heard that some of the states requiring bow hunter education classes will accept a past season archery tag/license from your home state in lieu of taking the class. I.e. if you hunted in MN during archery season in 2009 you can use that license/tag as a means of obtaining a license without having to take the bow hunter education class.

yes some also accept them pretty much its all stuff that needs to be dug into some place want bow hunter ed some will accpet past season in home state
