Sharpen those jigs..

Get a good edge on the jigs boys and girls. The bite is on again outside of the

Lighthouse Gap and out in front of Graceton-Zipple. Deep water, the "spot on

the spot" is about a mile long and wide. I just love this!

Pulled cranks north of Zipple on Sunday and there were definitly fish in that area. It was the only area that I found clearer water in which the fish would bite on the SE corner of the lake. Went back to the exact spot again on Labor Day (yesterday) and although the water was quite rough, the nice walleyes were really on the bite.

Wind, even quite a bit of wind, only makes the bite better when the fish are piling up like that. We moved around on Sunday looking for clean water and where it water was clean the fish were biting. We fished some

of the dirty stuff to no avail. By the way, out near the 9 footer Sunday it was dead calm with thick thick green algae, some so thick it was white.

The bloom went to Knight and Bridges, it was plenty eerie cruisin thru the stuff. Did not catch anything out there but we did not stay too

long.

It looks like fall fishing will be all it can be!

The green slime was nothing short of nasty. It stunk and was so thick it looked like you could walk on it.

They should be starting to head into the river soon
