A few lakes I have checked are FINALLY starting to turn a little less green and are back to "acceptable" for this area. I'm re-getting the boat ready to hit the fall waters!!!!!

Aboot 3 inches Wed night/Thursday. Another 3/4 or so on Friday.

Things are wet in the Avoca area.

The water's been high all summer.

I suppose it has been but you know how fresh moving water can make the fish do. Expecially in the river.

I fished the Des Moines today. Aboot all I can say is it was one of the better fishing days I've had here in a long long time.

I think I'm going to try Lime Creek, a bit downstream of the Avoca dam today.....I have a gut feeling the pike and crappies are in the holes and ready to start nibblin on lures. No clue why I have this gut feeling, it's just a guess.
