Baiting bear ith butter..

Does baiting bear with butter work? I have never done anything with bears so i dont know, but my dad has about 2000 pounds of rotten butter, and i dont know if it would even work, or if anyone would be interested. Bear baiters, fill me in please!

This is my 1st year of bear hunting, but here is my thought. If they like frier grease they may like butter. It never hurts to try it. If the bears don't like they will just leave it there.

Well I don't see why thet wouldn't like it,and if it eats enough of it it's like slowlly basting it from the inside out

I think it would work wonders. Get it out there and let the sun heat it up. How is it packaged?

I have used popcorn. 50 Pound bags from Sam's. Truck load of popcorn covered with melted butter. Go easy on the salt.

It is packed in 50 gallon drums. They weigh a ton, but if someone wants a barrel and a Whole lot of butter, it would be good for them. I don't want it, I don't bear hunt, but if someone here wants it you can PM me. I don't know much about cost, but i can find out.
