Medicine Lake Fishing Reports

Went out Thursday for a few hours. Caught a 28" Walleye along with a handful of nice sized Bass.

Wow, no posts here since 2017? lol

 

Not much to share, just bored at work this morning so I figured I'd post. Haven't been on the ice at Medicine for a couple years, but we wanted to try out a new Marcum before heading up to LOTW in a week and a half.

 

Made it out yesterday evening. Gate is open at Harty's and vehicle traffic is allowed, looked to be about 13-14" of ice when we drilled. We drove out to the "crappie hole". Set up in 39' shortly before dark. Caught maybe 15 small crappies between three of us before heading off the ice around 7. Saw lots of marks. Everything was small but we brought six home that couldn't swim away. Like I said, nothing exciting but it was nice to be out and see the bobber go down a couple times.

Thanks for the report.  I live close so I like to see how things are doing on Medicine.  Only time out was with the little one, so dad didn't get much fishing done.  Will be looking to drive out there now that we have this cold snap coming to make some more ice.

I was out on the north end at the park last weekend. The ice was 15" measured. I drove out but the ice is heaved on the ramp itself making it difficult to get over. Even with a 4 wheel drive pickup I bottomed out. Panfishing  was Ok, kept a dozen of sunnies and crappies mixed.
