Big A

I guess it's settled then............AP is the best RB of all time, he has no more fumbling problems than most of the best RBs in history, Robert Smith was half the RB that AP is and the Vikes will win the superbowl. grin

Jeez I love being right all the time! cool

I think Chilly should hand him a ball at the begining of practice, and in front of the whole team tell him that any member of the orginazation (coaches, trainers, water boy, whoever) that can take the ball away gets $1,000 out of his pocket. That may be just the motivation the best rusher in the NFL needs to be complete.

Adrian Peterson first three seasons

1 fumble for every 43 rush attempts

Walter Payton first 3 seasons

1 fumble per 28 rush attempts

any questions?

Ahh sweetness. If AP has a career like his we'll all be happy. I think APs fumbling issues will be drilled into his head constantly from now on. Should have been taken care of earlier though.

  • 4 weeks later...

In a big time important game his ability to take it 80 yards might take the vikings to the superbowl.

But it didn't, instead it cost us the game, an important game!!!

I think if you look back in this thread his fumble may lead to a lost in a big game. And we were correct and it did. Still would rather have Robert Smith.

Big Dave2 is a great football mind though, there is no reason for a feature running back to fix his fumbling problems.........haha yeah right!! Cover up the ball AP......you are a hell of a back but cover up the ball!!!

Play shoulda been whisteled down with a facemask penalty. Anyone would have fumbeled having their head half twisted off their shoulder like AP just did.

The officiating was HORRIBLE, block to the back on one of those long KRs, should have called it back.

I'd rather have walter Peyton. He only rfumbled 30 times in his first 3 years. How many does Peterson have? 20!

Yup 20, and 1 that LOST us the football because of bad technique!!!

Yep, you guys are right. That loss was obviously AP's fault.

Had nothing to do with the defense giving up 36 points.

Also had nothing to do with poor kick-off coverage.

Also had nothing to do with a missed extra point.

Had nothing to do with Winfield bring burned.

Nope, just APs fumble.

LOTS of faults in this game, but the vikes have the ball in OT in bears territory and he FUMBLES the ball!

I would put that on him...yes!

The defense was on the field wayyyy too much, especially in the first half! When the D plays that many possessions they are bound to give up points!

The only bad technique he had was running the play hard and trying to get yardage.

AND not covering up the ball...which is bad technique whether you are going for extra yards or not! That extra yardage turned into 6 points for the bears by the way.........

Went in to Lucky 7 to get some crappie minnows today. All they had were crappie minnows and fatheads. She said to call in advance for the opener, couldn't say for sure if they'd have rainbows, shiners, etc for opener!

Been out couple times this last week. Between the rain and wind there really was only one day this past week where it was actually warm out fishing.  Water temps are low mid 50s yet, not much change from last week.  Fish are still holding out off the first break on some area lakes and right up in the boat channels and back bays of others.   Been keeping it pretty simple as far as tackle used. Having the best luck with the lil hustler tubes under a small float or throwing the Bobby Garland baby shads with a 1/32 jig head.  The Bobby's have definitely been my big fish catcher this spring.

The water looks low but appears to be on the rise. We will be there  the week after opener. I have been going since 1981 and enjoying the experience. We love the variety of fish we catch and release each year. Ice went out a bit earlier than in years past. Water may be warmer and plan to target some crappies. We fish predominately in Sand Point as we camp. Good luck all and tight lines. We may consider the hike to Lake Lucille which we did 2 years ago.

thats great to hear regarding the lake levels!!!!!!

On an off light precipitation today. Hoping the weather this weekend will be nice so I can get out and crappie fish and check the weather. My yard has standing water and the driveway is a mess. Lot of lakes are near standard water levels which is good. Heard they are done stripping eggs on cut foot. Shaping up to be a good opener. Last year fished open water 60+ days and 28 different lakes. Hopefully bump both those numbers up this year
