Steve heres a few I took when I raised them. Ive got tons of my doe giving birth which IMO is something most will never see. The pics of my buck (2.5 yo) shedding is when I pulled his velvet and he went nuts.

Great pics, mabr. If the 2.5 is the one behind the fence with the red/bloody antlers, that's gonna be a DAYUMM BIG RACK in a coupla years. smile

Honestly, do guys ever get tired of looking at nice racks? gringrin

Yeah thats me with the doe fawn, going to get her a boyfriend this spring.

Posted

sniper, I'm sure your already enjoying her. I remember taking our doe with us up north every weekend in a dog carrier to be woke up every morning her walking across our hard wood floors and jumping on our bed. she lived in our house for the first month of her life then it was my wife feeding her 3-4 time daily out of her bottle, then her ear became her target as she got older. It only took 1 month with her and I had to go buy my buck. Sure miss those days.

One word of advise, be careful when strange children come around. You already know how high strung they are. Loud rambunctious kids don't help in the matter.

The kids are fine as long as they have marshmellows or freezes

great pictures of the deer and fawns. must have been a great experience. good luck.

Here is the big guy I got this year. We even got him on our trail cam which was cool. I got him in Kittson county near Lancaster. I got him on the friday of firearms season and at about 225 yards. Made an awesome shot and he went only 20 yards. So happy I finally got one for the wall. But the wife isn't so happy about it that she has to look at now :-)

Here he is on trail cam..

I shot this one ND opening day with my rifle. He is a decent buck, but I had my eyes on a couple others from trail cam pics that were better. After I pulled the trigger I was a little disapointed in myself because I knew he was young and definately had potential. A nice buck nonetheless.

Table is updated below.  Opening day is likely in jeopardy.  Lots of good dates available for those sitting on the sideline.

That's ok, got the Bear hunting out of my system years ago.  Still have some good spots on the GPS up in the Arrow head!  Did love me some good greasy bear roasts though!  😋

Yes, I'm on the West End.  No crappies yet, but I caught a couple of Cisco's and some perch this morning. Been dealing with chores at the cabin since 10 AM, so not much fishing.

10 inches of snow in cook this morning. 53 was pretty messy

Hard to tell exactly how much snow the way the wind was blowing it around, close to that I'll bet!  3 sleds went by earlier. Brian, are you on the west end? Did you fish?  Catch any crappies?

I was on the lake this morning. There is still a lot of ice. I went down to the housing on my auger a couple of times.  I'm not sure how much snow we got yesterday and last night but it looks like around 7 to 8 inches at least.

This is going to slow things down!
