Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone could help me out. I would like to take my 4 yr old out fishing for panfish and don't know where to go on either of these lakes. Size of the fish is not a big deal, just enough of them to keep her buzy for a little while. Any help would be great. Thanks

If you're not too concerned about size, I say take her to Island. Fish outside the lillypads to the right of the beach. Lots of sunnies and crappies to keep her busy.

If it's between Martin and Linwood and size isn't an issue I would for sure go to Linwood. There are plenty of bluegills and I've caught some nice ones out there too. I like the reeds/weeds to the left of the access if you're looking out from it (E/SE portion of lake) with a bobber and a small jig with gulp or a waxie.

Otherwise Island is an easier place to fish as you won't even have to take out a boat. The beach is a good shore fishing spot for the gills.
