Hows that launch. i drove by it and it looked nasty. i want to get out there and chase some pike or muskie. i have a ranger 681t. fairly deep boat 17 feet long. and only a 2 wheel drive truck. would i have problems with the boat floating or being able to pull the boat out with 2 wheel drive. dont want to launch and then load and cant get off the sand. i didnt get a close look but i saw a person standing in the middle of the channel holding a boat. by the bow. any help or opinions would be great? thanks

that launch is always bad, its worth a try, whats the worst that could happen!?

It wasnt too bad a week ago. Avoid busy times because the parking is horrible. I attempted to parallel park a boat trailer, not fun.

You should be ok as long as you have good tread on the tires. We launched a 620 ranger out there a month ago. Its shallow for a ways but didn't have a problem. Good luck.

Of all the boat accesses to choose from, this was the one I picked for my very first time trailering and untrailering a boat, a brand new one at that. It didn't go well, but I eventually got it on the trailer. It's a little tight space-wise and the 90 degree turn to get it on the trailer in the channel can be interesting too. I also had to parallel park my truck and trailer, again a first time, I think I ended up getting close and then dragging the rear of the trailer into the spot. Good times. I did catch an 18" walleye that night though after being on the lake about 10 minutes. That was probably 8 or 9 years ago, I'm a bit more proficient now.
