Trolling Motor Battery Advice

Gentlemen -

I was wondering if I could get some good advice on what kind of batteries I should get for my bow-mount trolling motor? The old ones are about 3 years old and are already pretty shot. My boat has a 2 battery set up for the bow-mount. I was thinking of running up to Fleet Farm in Hudson this weekend so I'd really appreciate any input. Thanks in advance!

I run (2) Trojans for my trolling motor, I am on my third year with them and they are as strong as the day I got them.

I just switched to a Optimax and love it. Yes, its a bit spendy but it sure trolls for a looooong time.

I have heard nothing but good about them. I have used the Gel batteries in the past and yes they are good but I don't believe it is quite the battery the Optimax is.
