Does the fishing usually get better from here on out?

I know asking if the fish are going to bite better the rest of the summer is kinda like asking what the lottery numbers will be next week. But with some warm days we've had and the may flies doing there thing and finally getting that summer feel to things, typically does the walleye fishing improve from now through August? I've had a pretty slow summer walleye wise but it has not been normal (weather wise)for me and maybe I'm just wishful thinking since I'm headed up there in a month, for a week of fishing.Last year was the slowest walleye fishing for me on Vermilion in a long time. Not brutal, just slower than usual. Good Luck everyone and see ya on the water

After the mayfly hatch is over the walleye bite will pick up greatly. Usually good fishing until freeze up after that!

August has been the best for me

Good to see that august provides good fishing. I will be in mourning next week (my original date for camping), but after that I will be waiting in anticipation for my next vacation in august.
