Long casting rod/reel/line combo

I am catching a lot of Bass of my dock every evening,,,,I'm wondering,,,whats the best distance casting set up you can think of??....I've got a big weedline in front of me, and would like to shoot my Rebel Frenzy out as far as I can to cover the extensive weedline I got....I'm talkin' rod length/reel/ line combo......Any ideas??

We do alot of distance casting up here on Superior. A 9+ foot long spinning rod with a medium spinner w/6-8 lb test is the best combo I've found. BUT...we don't deal with weeds. Hooking a fish along a weedline where the fish might well dive for the weeds when you hook them adds a new dimension. I'm thinking a bit stiffer rod( maybe something designed for 10 lb. test)and loaded with 10-14 lb. braid (for cutting thru weeds) might be a better setup, even if you lose some casting distance. I don't think a casting outfit will beat a spinner until you get into heavier baits...

I would use a U.S reel with a small weighted braid line with at least a 7ft rod with fast action.

the combo that I us is more practical= a 7ft rod med light9 fast) with a president reel (6725) with 6lb gamma

I do believe in long rods..You can put alot of pressure on a flish and steer him where you want it to go. I have a couple steelhead rods I use bobber flishing, but they do weigh a good bit.I'm wondering if there is anything to those long cast spinning reels??
