boat landing in Tower??

I'm heading up to Tower Mn and want to get onto Vermilion. I know there is a public boat landing, but how is it? Are there any other option in the area (I'm willing to pay a reasonable fee at a resort)?

You can put in on the river. 1st left past the motel across the river when you're coming into town.

Or you can go further and take your next left, go to the stop sign, take another left and put in at Hoodoo Point. Small landing on your left across from the airstrip or go a little further and use the big landing... you guessed it, on your left! Lots of lefts...easy to remember! All public landings...no charge.

The landing Paul mentioned across from the airstrip is an extemely nice landing. Very well built and very well maintained.

The big one across from the landing...the first little one is terrible.
