Panfish reports

Hello all-

Heading up to the cabin this weekend for the opener and going to try some panfishing on Friday. Has anybody heard of any action in the Blackduck area? We hit Rabideau the last 2 years. Last year was too cold and not a thing but the year before we did really well.

Any reports would be appreciated. Thanks and good luck next weekend!

Our guests here haven't been doing any fishing, and our local fishing friends are like us, trying to get the yard chores and outside painting done (now that it's finally warm enough); getting things done so we can switch gears and hit the lakes. With the late ice out last year it seemed like walleye fishing wasn't the only thing that was slow on opener, but the panfish too, and it wasn't the normal fishing for our trout anglers either. So we'll see what happens this year now that we are back on a more normal schedule. If we get a chance to get out there before this weekend we'll let you know what worked for us.
