Was a slow weekend for eyes for me and my dad. Fished the Bayport area. We ended up with 4 walters altogether for the weekend. 16.5"-19" with a 14" crappie a few bigger white bass and a couple smaller 10-12 crappie. Eyes seemed to bite right off the bat and seemed to become tight liped after about 8:30ish. Fishing jigs and leeches and minnows. Tried some trolling, marked fish and couldn't catch a legal, all shorties and too many sheepies. Tried the hudson channel later morning on saturday, must have been close to 50 or more boats and only seen 3 fish caught and 2 went back in. How'd it go for every on else?

The St. Croix River. (Boundry water so it opened with Wisconsin's opener)

I was out with a couple guys and we managed six keeper sauger. Four were really nice sized. We didn't take measurements but a couple were in the 18's. Pretty much jig and a minnow for us.
