Murphy-hanrahan park in savage?

Anyone ever fish any of the small lakes in murphy-hanrahan park in savage? I have done lots of hiking and stuff in this park but have never fished. The lakes are very rugged from what ive seen. Thought there might be some good fishing there since probally not to many people fish there.

I have fished Murphy Lake many times from my canoe. It is a very clear lake so its hard to get fish to bite til almost dark. There are lots of smaller sized panfish and some bass action. It can be a good time. The fishing was great a couple years back but there was a perdy good winter kill i think 2 years ago. Slowed things down a bit, but its nice to go and get away from the crowds

I can tell you from experience that canoe-only lakes get low pressure all summer long. Maybe a shore-fisher once in a while, but there just aren't many people who'll drop a non-motorized boat in a small lake for an afternoon.
