Greetinz' frum da-hood !

Just wonderin' what works "best" for open water.

I've been on the lake in the past but not when the water's soft.

I'll be bringing some folks from out-of-town in late may and was hoping for some open water ideas.

Just lookin' for some ruff ideas.

Lindy-rigs? Jig and a minnow?

Gulps? Crawler rigs?

Cranks? Slip bobbers?

Drift? Troll?

We're not much for keepin'em, we just like catchin'em!

The fellas I'll be fishin' with are forgoing a Canada trip for this so the pressure is on! shocked

Any help would be great!

p.s. Morey's Seafood is for golfers! grin

I've had luck on a windy day drifting with gulp alive leeches on a gold spinners or slipbobbering w/fathead minnows.

Jig and minnow works great around the first break. If you're really on fish then anchor and continue to jig, or go to slip bobbers if you want. If you're not finding the fish with the jigs and minnows then get away from the crowd and break out the crankbaits until you find them.

You can troll or drift, it doesn't matter to the fish, just do what you need to do to control your boat.
