Think he'll play the next drive? or will he stick with just one like was said earlier?

14 plays 98 yards TD Tjack!!!! Is Favre really going to be the answer???? Don't traid TJack grin

The best back in the league (AP), led the NFL with the most fumbles and Brett had the most INT's (22).

TJack is looking good...All the pressure is on MN...Favre is supposed to be the missing piece to a championship. Good Luck with #4 smile

What a nightmare, T-Jack looks good. I'm guessing since the pressure is off him a little, he is throwing the ball with accuracy I have never seen from him before. Anyone catch Favre's grin after the second half? You could tell Favre was impressed.

goooooooo t-jsck!! The vikes have never given him a serious chance to run this team and neither have the fans!! i hope he does get traded and goes on to make a name for himself, the kid can flat out throw the ball!!

don't get me wrong, i am happy we have favre, but if we would give t-jack a serious chance and let him run all the plays instead of having a limited playbook he would be fine!!

I didn't catch the names of the announcers on the tv station but in hearing them gush one would think it was madden and dierdorf announcing the game.

That is the problem with most vikes fans is that they r bandwagon jumpers!! T-jack never got a fair shot! play callin was limited and it shouldn't have been! play callin last year for him sucked!! let the man play and he will perform!

You obviously jumped on the TJack bandwagon. The key is to jump off that bandwagon because he is a bad 2nd string/decent 3rd stringer at best. If he had the ability to do more they would open up the playbook. Since he doesn't they can't open it up. He can't figure it out. End of story.

I don't care what he did last night or against Detroit and Arizona last year. You can put carmel on a horse apple and it's still going to taste like dung.

I thought Madden was splitting a condo with Farve, that way his lips would never be too far from Brett's hind quarters!

Great game by Farve. I wonder if there are any more senior citizens we can get for our team?

Heard some guys on the radio this morning saying Favre "looked 40". How did he look 40?? Because the O-line blew their protection a couple times and allowed him to get hit?

P.S How many other teams in the league are drawing 68,000 for their pre-season games?? grin Pure entertainment.

There you go. He is a pro bowl QB. Even better then Favre! We should get him, then we will be gauranteed to win the superbowl.

Pre-season game.

As soon as Favre hit the bench, I hit the garage. Pre-season games are like watching glue dry after the first quarter.

I am shocked they played Farve as much as they did.

T-Jack did do very well. I know another season or two, he will be a great Q-B. At least he is not starting the season first string like last year. I do think putting Gus the Bus in last year and benching TJ was a poor decision. Unless hurt, your season starting QB (IMO) should be playing the entire season. Especially a fresh (rookie then grin ) TJ.

Good season of MN Vikes football ahead. More pumped for Sunday than I have been in a few years now. I hate rushing summer so fast, but I can not wait for pre-season to end. We always seem to do good pre-season and bomb once the games count. Vikes luck, but I hope that is a chang'in grin

I hope the Hawkeyes throw you a thrashing like you never seen.

LOL...you must be from IOWA! A very well thought out post Mud. grin

I see you don't have an Avatar. You probably can't figure out how to post one. grin

I actually appreciate the talent of many players on the Vikings. What MN teams have I been bashing?? Put down that last 16oz Pabst and relax! wink

LOL-- nice Badger. Actually not from IA,, from MN. Just Rodgers for a avatar for a Packer Fan is nuts. Go with Kampman, he anchors your defense and is very underrated.

ALso--- how do the Badgers look this year in football??

Living in IOwa--- I know and respect the Hawks in Football.

They will beat the Badgers on OCt 17 (Wisky homecoming) by 17 or more. REdshirt QB's are not going to hold up agst the HAWKS DEF.

Nice jabbing with ya---change your avatar to Favre throwing a touchdown agst the pack-- LOL

With the early ice out, how is the curlyleaf pondweed doing?

On the south end...   The big basin, otherwise known as Big Traverse Bay, is ice free.  Zippel Bay and Four Mile Bay are ice free as well.  Everything is shaping up nicely for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th. With the walleye / sauger season currently closed, most anglers are targeting sturgeon and pike.  Some sturgeon anglers are fishing at the mouth of the Rainy River, but most sturgeon are targeted in Four Mile Bay or the Rainy River.  Hence, pike are the targeted species on the south shore and various bays currently.   Pike fishing this time of year is a unique opportunity, as LOW is border water with Canada, the pike season is open year round. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. Back bays hold pike as they go through the various stages of the spawn.  Deadbait under a bobber, spinners, spoons and shallow diving crankbaits are all viable options.   Four Mile Bay, Bostic Bay and Zippel Bay are all small water and boats of various sizes work well. On the Rainy River...  Great news this week as we learned sturgeon will not be placed on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     The organization had to make a decision by June 30 and listing sturgeon could have ended sturgeon fishing.  Thankfully, after looking at the many success stories across the nation, including LOW and the Rainy River, sturgeon fishing and successful sturgeon management continues.   A good week sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River.  Speaking to some sturgeon aficionados, fishing will actually get even better as water temps rise.     Four Mile Bay at the mouth of the Rainy River near the Wheeler's Point Boat Ramp is still producing good numbers of fish, as are various holes along the 42 miles of navigable Rainy River from the mouth to Birchdale.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  A few spots with rotten ice, but as a rule, most of the Angle is showing off open water.  In these parts, most are looking ahead to the MN Fishing Opener.  Based on late ice fishing success, it should be a good one.

Nice fish. I moved to the Sartell area last summer and just thought it was windy like this everyday up here? 🤭

Crazy windy again today.... This is has been the norm this spring. Between the wind and the cold fronts, fishing has been more challenging for me than most years.  Panfish have been moving in and out of the shallows quite a bit. One day they are up in the slop, the next they are out relating to cabbage or the newly sprouting lilly pads.  Today eye guy and I found them in 4-5 ft of water, hanging close to any tree branches that happened to be laying in the water.  Bigger fish were liking a 1/32 head and a Bobby Garland baby shad.   Highlight of the day way this healthy 15incher
