Hardee's To-Go Order

Fishmeister,

We have five boats (10 souls) headed to LaBelle's for our annual trip and will be coming through IF on 6/20 around 1-2 PM. After stopping at The Shore Lunch we cross the border and are ususlly on the water between 3 & 4 PM. We fish then until about 9 and call it a day.

In the past we have tried cooking Hamburgers for dinner for the group, but it has not worked out well as nobody wants to come back from fishing to eat . . . or really to cook the meal.

My thought was to get some chicken for everyone for that meal, and was wondering if your Hardee's has chicken on the menu. If so, what could you suggest? If it all works out we can call when we are about an hour out and place/confirm the order and then swing by to pick it up.

We are open to any thought/suggestions you may hav.

We used to cross on Saturday and had the same problem. We would make lunch meat sandwiches and frozen Pizza, but now we come into camp on Friday night, so we can we get a full day of fishing on Saturday. For a fee we can have supper ready for you.

Man! What an offer!! . . . Let me think . . . . . Hmmmmmmmm . . . As much as I appreciate your generous offer, maybe we'll just stop at the KFC in Ft. Francis on the way in. You could coordinate with Dale, however, and start offering a 'value added' service for folks as the arrive? :-)

The Hamburger thing for the first evening just wasn;t working out well so we are looking for a change. Our fisrt full day will be Saturday then, and we'll fish until about 4PM on Friday.

Yes . . Walleye sandwiches might be a great seller for sure!

I'm lucky this year and get to be a passenger and fish from the back of the boat!

WE HAVE NOT CARRIED CHICKEN IN MANY YEARS & FOR A GOOD REASON, IT IS VERY HARD TO MAKE MONEY. WE USED FRESH CHICKEN AND ONCE YOU GOT IT IN, YOU HAD 10 DAYS TO USE IT, WHICH WAS FINE, PROBLEM IS IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE, VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. WHEN I OPENED HARDEE'S IN INT'L FALLS, I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT, IF I WERE REQUIRED TO SELL CHICKEN. HARDEE'S WAS AQUIRED BY CARL'S JR. MANY YEARS AGO & SINCE THAT HAPPENED, THEY HAVE MADE A HUGE COMEBACK. OUR MENU IS EXCELLENT & WE WERE HONORED TO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN FRANCHISEE OF THE YEAR IN 2007 & WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO DO IT AGAIN IN 2008.
