Where are the fish?

Recommended Posts

A friend and I want to get out fishing soon and I am wondering what's biting and where? He lives up in the north metro and I live down south, so anywhere around the metro is good to know, he wants to get his boat out, not to mention I have some vacation coming and will have some free time to get out. smile Not looking for secret spots, just some general information. smile

pretty much all metro lakes the fish are in the shallows. just pick a lake and find a finger in the lake the shallow and dark bottom (best on north sides of lake i've found) or just go to where the boats are.

Take the 45 minute drive down to Evert on Pool 4. Its a nice drive and you should be able to get some white bass with saugers and eye's mixed in. Email me and I'll get send you a few spots that have been producing.

Are you sure mrfish? I'm hearing otherwise :P. grin

I have only been out once, got one sunny and now I getting antsy since I am heading up to my dad's in a couple of weeks for opener. Not to mention my friend just moved down here recently and brought his boat, so he is also anxious to make use of it ( and I anxious to help him use it whistle) .

He took me to Eagle Lake in Maple Grove this winter for ice fishing, anyone know what it's like this time of year? I think he wants to check it out now that the ice is gone.

this time of the year fishing is really easy. just pick a lake and fish in the shallows... bound to find spawning fish.

spawning fish are very agressive... anything you throw out will catch them.
