waterfall hunting

I know its early, but recently moved to benson from willmar and i was wondering if anybody around the benson area would have any suggestions about any public hunting area's that i would be able to hunt waterfowl from land with the kids and still set decoy's out with out having lots of cattails(dont have boat). we hunted north of willmar before and could be right on water's edge. I will be checking the area myself, but any help in the right direction would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.

you will find there are plenty of options within 20 miles of benson for waterfowling, problem is, many are over crowded early and do not produce much in the way of ducks. you better be at an approach at 4am opening day if you want a spot you have in mind. later in the season, there are some spots that dont recieve any waterfowling pressure, but then again, there still might not be ducks there either! shoot me an email [email protected] and i can give you some specifics if you would like.
