there's 1 more time out for some monster gills on this private lake over by Crosby and I'm done on the ice.

It's still 2 foot thick but getting on is getting to be a chore.

Then later this week I'll be heading to lake Michigan for some coho's and browns. By the time I get back there will be a week or so to wait for a few of our smaller 50 acre lakes to open up.

Nows the time to get that open water gear all ready to go.

Looks like good times to be had. Wellcrafts look like they would be an expensive machine. Good to see little kids out there, that's great.

Actually they are steelhead on the Kewanee river just off of lake Michigan.

You got no control once your hooked up.

The best you can do is keep tension on the line until they get tuckered out.

Being they are silver ...not black says they just came from the lake and have a full tank of gas.
