Dog Foot Problem, Prevent licking??

My chocolate had been favoring a rear paw occasionally, so when he went in for his yearly vet visit I brought it up to the vet. They ended up being able to take a look at it and he definitely had licked himself a nice sore between the pads of a rear paw, the vet assumed he had scraped or cut it a while back and had just never let it heal properly. The vet gave me antibiotic pills, some drops, and instructed me to do epson salt soaks once a day making sure to thoroughly dry the foot with a hair drier on cool, and my dog was to wear a cone to prevent him from licking his foot. This whole regimen was to last 2 weeks. We are now 5 days in and my dog has figured out how to lick his foot WITH the cone on. I'm not sure what my next step should be, do a try to find a bigger cone (he is 80 lbs, so this cone may be the biggest size already), do I wrap his foot after thoroughly drying with horse wrap? (I'm worried this may not assist in the healing if it is wrapped all the time). Just looking for some suggestions or tips or tricks so I can get his paw back to 100% thanks in advance for the help!

Don't bother with the horse wrap, he'll just chew it off and eat it (at least my lab did). Get some of that spray that keeps dogs from chewing on stuff...I forget what it's called...and spray it on his foot from time to time. The label will say that it's not for internal use but this should not be a problem in this case. Call your vet if you're concerned about using it, but my vet is the one who suggested it for my lab when his paw had stitches.

It's called bitter apple, and I think this stuff can be used internally
