Loop knots and Fireline

Has anyone used any variation of a loop know with Fireline before? I'm going to try using one this season and see if there is any difference in number of strikes. I would rather not learn that they slip the hard way.

With fireline, I loop the initial pass through the eye of the hook 2x. Then just tie your knot. This prevents slippage.

I guess I wasn't clear. I am trying to find a knot that keeps an open loop and doesn't slip with Fireline. I currently always use a Palomar, but I am wondering if I can get more action out of a lure with an open loop which does not hold tightly onto the lure. I know of a couple which work with mono, but I have no idea how well they will work with Fireline.

I have used what is known as a uni-knot. You leave a small loop in the end. The other is a double surgeons end loop has also worked for me, I use fireline on most all my rods.

I use the double surgeon's loop for fly fishing, but never with Fireline. That's pretty much exactly what I wanted to know.
