How is the snow melt going?

Gissert: Is the home lake area losing enough snow for me to get in my driveway next weekend?

There is pretty much no snow left, just were it was plowed up high or drifted.

If is softens up today, I can punch it out with my wheeler if you like.

You can get in now, you had a pretty good drift up by the house. I got it cleaned out now, so it should be no problem.

Thank You! Wasn´t asking for you to do the work, but thanks anyway. Have a potential buyer. Very mixed emotions. We found a place closer to home, but of course it´s nothing near the water quality or friendliness of the people. I for one wouldn´t be heartbroken if the sale fell through, but the boss might be.

Melting fast. I was going to punch your driveway out, but the road is sloppy and I did not want to make a mess.

That slough in the center is about to hit the road edge. Looks like the culvert is plugged or frozen.

Before the big snow, it had begun to rot, but was still solid enough for sled/wheelers. I fished it a week prior to the snow, and it was starting to come up the auger in chunks.

This snow load has delayed the melting, and it has been getting rather cool at night.

I set a guess of April 19 for ice out a couple weeks ago - I still think that is in the ballpark

Is the ground showing again or does everything remain white? I have to dig up some tree's I bought at the big box store that died over the winter. I had planned on Apr 17th since my 1 year return window will close soon after. Dang trees grown in the south sold in the north. They are getting roots & all this time. lol.
