Safety Tip, Test Your Life Jackets!

Is your life jacket, safety vest or whatever you call your 'floatation device' safe for another year? If any critters have chewed on it throw it away and get new.

Test? Does your gym have a swimming pool? Put it on and jump in! You may look stupid, but you will know if it is safe.

Especially test your children's! With the smaller ones, fill the bathtub, put their vest on them and 'throw' them in. Yes, you will need a mop to clean up the bathroom, but you will know they are safe and they will have fun 'testing' for you.

If you are shopping for a vest for your kids. It's important, that you have the child put it on, and buckle it. Have them reach for the sky and see if you can pick them up with the shoulders of the vest. Then you will know they won't slide out of it incase of a mishap. Or, get the ones with the crouch strap!
