Hey guys,

Just looking to find out some decent lakes to go for some pannies? I have been fishing lake trout with no success and want to clear my mind for a bit and catch some good panfish. I plan on attacking the trout again but just need a little break. Any ideas?

Fall has some decent crappies if you can find them (I know that is probably a typical line)

Low is a decent option. Johnson and One Pine also have crappies.

If you get a real wild hair up the ... you could head out on Vermilion. Here again if you can find them there are some big un's out there. If you decide to go that route check out the Vermilion Forum. There might be some info there that could be useful to you.

i wouldnt suggest going to Little Long unless you know something that no one else does.. i was out there yesterday with a buddy and couldnt even get a fish to acknowledge our bait. We fished from 28 to 12 feet of water and ended up not catchin a single fish. Could be it was just a bad day but i probably wont be heading out there again this year.

I have never had luck on that lake, I dunno if it's just not that good or the fish are just that smart! I think I am going to try for that elusive Laker again the rest of the weekend.
