Ice Report

Recommended Posts

Coming up on Thursday and wanted to check the status of the ice. I know there is probably 3-4 feet but just want to be sure of the conditions of the shoreline ice and whether or not things will be safe for travel.

Any reports to follow would be appreciated.

Thanks

Was up over the weekend, ice is fine, need a 12" extension for sure with the snow on the lake. We had a large group on snowmobiles.

How is the ice around the accesses? Are they still good for truck travel? How about the roads on the lake? Ruts or can you get around well still?

Not sure after today. I got back home on sunday. Everything was in good shape on Sat. I would call some of the resorts were you are going out of for a better idea. Snowmobile trails were in good shape.

Hey coming up Tues-Sunday this week. Planning on traveling by snowmobile. How is it looking? Are we going to be dealing with a bunch of water on the lake or is it staying firmed up. Looks like 50's for you guys today and tomorrow. Yikes!

On the west end there was a couple of inches on the roads, but none anywhere else. You could drive a truck out to the DNR reefs, not sure about any farther than that. Lots of sleds out there and a few wheelers.
