Battle Lake area sunnies

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some nice sized sunnies. I'm having a hard time finding them. No shortage of small ones though. Thinking about trying Stuart all though I have never fished it in the winter before. Just looking for a few pointers in the Battle Lake area. Thanks

Stuart is alright, but I don't know how they are biting out there this year, I havn't been out there this year...have don't pretty good other years. I usally do pretty well on Middle Leaf. I have been catching some good ones on East Battle but they can be pretty tricky to find..at least the biggest ones...good luck.

Thanks basser. I was on Middle Leaf Friday on the east end seen a few fish but they wouldn't bite. Maybe I'll try the west end by the points.

well good luck, I have normally only ice fished out there on the east end...there is a small island out there that tops out at around 6 feet...check out a lake map and find that island.
