Loopers?

Years ago we used to come up to the North Shore early every spring to fish for "Loopers".

Are they still in there? Is the fishing still as good as it used to be?

Where are the popular spots these days?

Any help would be much appreciated.

the past few years there hasent been a very strong population including this year. The french river as everyone knows is the most popular place, the lester can be ok at times too. hopefully later this month the fishing will pick up

How soon does the shore fishing start for loopers and steelhead?

from september until april you can catch loopers off shore. typically febuary and march are the best.

shore fishing for loopers goes year round. January/February can be some of the best.

how was the fall fishing down there last year any steady action? I never made it down last fall but in years past Ive done well.
