Mille Lacs tackle suggestions

Jorgie

Recommended Posts

Some buddies and I are heading up next week. I was curious if anyone had any favorite jigs or lures that work well on Mille Lacs for walleyes.

Also, how do you like to rig your rattle wheels?

Thanks!

I use mostly jigging spoons.Buckshots, sweedish pimples,JRs etc. they are all good.Anything in perch color on Mille Lacs works well but dont rule out gold, reds, pinks etc.I think it is more critical how you use them than color most of the time. They are an attractor lure most of the time so I jig aggresively. Not just twitch the rod I whip em a couple feet and let em flutter down like a crippled minnow. Then let em sit for a few seconds and do it again. This will get fish to come take a look. Then the tricky part is when they show up.Sometimes they like it just sitting there and sometimes they like it still moving.I also like to have a dead stick or a rattle reel down as sometimes the spoon gets em in and they hit the dead stick. No frills on the dead stick.Plain or colored hook or a small jig usually does the trick.I tend to use more hooks during the day and jigs at night.

i have had my best luck on a golden or silver colored 1/4oz lindy rattlin flyer tipped with the head of a fathead. good luck! now for your rattle reels i would just have a plain red hook with a shiner minnow down about 6 inches to a foot off the bottom

on the rattles: fatheads on red octopus hook or a plain octopus hook with a red bead and a small split shot has worked pretty well for me this year. Nothing fancy, new or exciting. I am right on the bottom edge of a flat and the majority of my fish have come 2 - 3 feet from bottom. Standard rule of thumb though is 6 - 12 inches off bottom.

I played around a lot this weekend and think that some sort of a dropper rig is our best bet right now. I have these "competition links" that I bought in Sweden, that are basically small removable 3" chains with clasps on both ends. I played around with different spoon bodies (smallest buckshot rattle the best) and hook sizes. A moderately small red treble on the chain dropper with a minnow head, some shrimp meat, etc. seemed to get them to go the best.

BW is not a designated Trout lake. The limit is the same as state which I think is 5 bows. Don't think there is a size limit either since they don't breed.

Rotes, Hi, I just joined this forum and these corner caps are just what I have been looking for. Is it possible at this late date to get a set of these made for my Lund? The only difference I can see is the color of the material. Would you be willing to make a set for me? Thanks, [email protected]

Any move requires time and effort, but if you turn to a moving company for help, then some of the problems will disappear immediately. Firstly, the guys from the moving services always take care of the client's property, pack and carefully transfer your things to the car. Secondly, when moving with movers, you do not have to worry about the road, they choose the fastest and safest way, as they have extensive experience in transportation.

Anybody know how much the lake temps have dropped?   Are people have the most success with minnows vs crawlers when fishing with live bait lately, or are crawlers still working?

Snuck out last night, water Temps down to 54-56, last Thurs mid 60s. Fish were finicky. Leaves are changing quickly here, lots falling. Two weeks should be a lot better in the woods

I agree with the previous comment, you could save a lot of money by making your website first .. its design .. and then if you want to move .. but if you want, you can immediately ..-) look here: https://digitalsuits.co/hire-developers/hire-shopify-developers/

I think that even at the initial stage, you need to consult with specialists who have been working in this field for a long time .. and then you will really get the result .. otherwise you can spend a lot of time and in the end you will have to redo everything .. for example, look here: https://www.softformance.com/services/software-consulting-company/

The best solution in this situation is to create the software yourself, and then turn to testers who will check everything. Although, if you manage to develop software, then you will have the strength to test it yourself
