I have the perfect bow for you...it is an alpine micro youth bow that can be changed up to a 28 in" draw and can pull 40 lbs. Can be used for hunting, at least I did. I shot several deer with it. Very accurate and fast.

joe15 i looked at thier web site and it looks like that bow wont go down to 20lbs. i dont even know if a manufacture has one that goes down that low. im looking for an adjustable range from 20 - 35 lbs. i just got back into bowhunting last year. single dad here raising my son. the bow i shoot is an xi legend myles keller. 32" draw 74# pull 65% let off. i went to the pro shop and was asking about a new string, the kid laughed at me.... xi company is not even around anymore... of course he tried selling me a new bow... i said to him i like mine...its paid for

chris,

the fact that xi isnt around anymore has nothing to do with new strings on that bow. i restrung two of them this week. it runs around 75 bucks installed with vapor trail strings. as for youth bows there are several good ones out there that will fit what your son needs. diamond, fred bear, parker, mathews and browning all make good ones. so far teh coolest one that i have seen are from diamond because of the huge range of adjustment that the kids can grow with

the bow that I was tell you about goes down to 27 lbs as I checked it at the shop last week. So are you still interested? If you are I can sell it to you ready to shoot and fully equiped.

Pooh

my little brother bought a Forge a couple years back. that particular bow will go from 30 to 60 pounds. and 25 to 30 in draw lenght, its called the woodsman. check out the nimrod too.

they arent as that expensive. there is a guy in bluegrass (between vendale and sebeka) that sells them. not too may forge dealers out there, and not a name u hear of very often, i've had my safari for 4 years and 3 deer without one complaint. if i remember right by little brother has like 500 bucks in EVERYTHING from bow to field tips. check em out forgebow(dot)com

i dont think you will be disappointed

Many people come on this forum asking for help, but I'm begging much more sincerely.   60 years ago at the age of 10, I used to read the fishing ads in Field & Stream about fishing in Minnesota.   I always said I would go one day, but as you know life and things get in the way.   Well, I'm 90% retired now and ready to make the long trip from west of Atlanta to go fishing in Minnesota, my lifelong dream.   I always wanted to go to the BWCA, but I'm simply not able now due to health problems. I can't do hiking, portaging, etc anymore.   Here's the deal....  I would love to find a small remote cabin (in Minnesota) on a small lake to stay for a week or more, next spring or summer.    I don't need anything fancy... rustic is the best for me.   I want to fish for smallmouth bass and big bluegills and I will bring my boat along too.   If any of you could recommend a small lake, with a small cabin and good fishing to rent for a week or so, I promise I will repay you somehow.   A guide would be nice for a day, or I'd gladly pay one of you a NICE tip and take you along in my boat fishing, as many days as you want.   I'm still begging.... could you please help make my 60-year dream come true?  PM me if you wish.   Thanks in advance.

Thanks @knoppers.   I’m about to head over to that general area.  Makes me wonder if I should load the wheeler.

What length of the HT BLUES are you looking for? I've seen some 24" @ Walmart stores. Some in the rod/reel combos n some just the rod itself. I got my 30" frm Frankie's bait in Chisago so if you're in that area you can check it out or give them a call. I remember seeing some @ Blue Ribbon baits in Maplewood also. You can also give them a call. I hope this helps.

I shoot through the bottom..  Use plumbers putty to make a ring and use some to keep the diversity in place.   I just add enough water to make a good conductor.  Works great.  No worries about snagging the ducer outside the boat.  As for finders I have an old fish eagle, buddy just picked up a battery operated color unit from amazon says it worked good.
