I'm going to get out next week for an eve shot. As soon as the "arctic blast" goes away. Sounds like a cool weekend.

They came by my shack and told me and my neighbor the same thing about the reflectors. Gave me a written warning, gives me one more reason to go out tonight.

Going to be hitting up Bald Eagle tomorrow afternoon and night around the island. Anyone been out the past few days? Should be a nice warm weekend, won't be able to get that house set up fast enough.

Very nice pike, & nice C&R! From the head on that thing it looks like it still has some growing to do, makings of a huge metro pike.

was out on bald yesterday nothing but 2 small sunnies. fished in 24 fow and then moved to about 18 fow about 100 yards out from the island. Granted we were not fishing the best hours of the day 10am - 230pm also we were only using waxies.

Anyone have any luck in the morning? I see majority of the posts are about the night bite.

I was out last Friday morning and all we caught were 6 small crappies form 7:30 till 11:30. We were fishing for eyes so it didn't work out to well. Side note: First time in Hansen's Bait shop thought it was a neat place and they were open early.

Was out on Saturday from 12-730. Two houses three guys ended up catching about 50 crappies or more. Threw everyone back. Nothing big enough yet. Just the fun of catching keeps you motivated. 30 fow, waxies or minnows, didn't seem to matter. Went through plenty of propane to stay warm. Might try for some eyes on the west side of the lake, had a buddy do pretty well over there on saturday.

nlange, he said they were fishing shallower. In about 12-15 fow. They didnt do great, but did ok. They have pulled a few nicer ones out the lake this winter though. I havent been over to his house yet so im not sure whereabouts it is, but I do know its on the west side in that depth range, and have been catching a few all winter long now.

I fished a few hundred yards west of the island on sunday and caught a 2 lb walleye around 8 pm plus several craps. 17 FOW (from the bottom of the hole). Got a hammerhandle, too. I missed 3 bites on the bobber that I'm sure were walleye. The one I caught was jigging with a waxie.

Fished bald eagle a lot while i was on leave for the holidays....... only small crappies. Moved to White Bear and caught a nice muskie and some hog-daddy walleyes.

Now i'm back at Ft Campbell, KY and fishing for stripers and southern crappies(they do get big down here).... errrrr, you can't beat Minnesota Walters.
