yeah, sure... i guess you never know... that would be a safe guess, but who knows, maybe they are more active and want a fathead.... i don't know. I'd get a scoop of crappie minnows, and a half scoop of fatheads.... and then some glow jigs... and then i'd have to get propane, and then a bag of chips, and a soda or two... and you got 30 bucks lookin at ya, and a hope for a bunch of small crappies! Maybe I'll be there, look for a black 2 door ford exploder, and a blue fishtrap.

I was out on Bald last weekend and I have to say the access has seen better days, almost bottomed out my Avalanche but that was probably my fault for driving directly into an old wheel groove instead of going around. We were catching several 7-8" crappies in about 10-20 fow out about 100 yards from the island in 29fow max depth range.

Just got back from the snow and all, crappies are biting in about 20 FOW, only two keepers though, most of them were under 8"..i was out for only 2 hours before the propane let out and I decided to head out.

I was out yesterday, and well... same thing, lots of smaller crappies, a few keepers, and zero walleyes! What does a walleye look like again?

There are a few tents out on BE every day. Anyone been out lately or know if the access is still passable?

I went out on Bald Eagle Saturday afternoon. The ice is at least 24 inches thick but there was a lot of water on top. The landing was OK and there were guys in cars driving through. Took my 8 year old niece out and ended up with 4 perch and two sunnies before we quit at 6 pm. Wind about blew us off the lake and the Clam was ready to head to Hugo. The access may be pretty chewed up with the warm weather today and tomorrow.
