Well heck if you spend that much time on the lake you should be a guide, I bet you would make a killing with all the fish you catch!

that would be awsome... what a great reason to fish more than I already do lol.

But what if I take someone out and we don't catch anything? Id feel like an idiot

I finally made it out to Waco saturday, fishing pannies. Caught many sunnies, kept 7, and also caught a dozen crappies, kept 4, the largest a hair over 11". I used either an Atomic Stealth jig or a flutter bug tipped with Gulp waxie. Sure was cold. BBBrrrrr!!!

The sunnies have been REALLY tough for me the past week. So I switched to crappies. I have been mainly fishing from 9pm-3am looking for the late night bite. It has been hit and miss. I am finding lots of fish, just not many takers. 3 nights ago we got 12 and missed just as many. Most were 8-10" with 1 13". Night before last we got 1 9"er and 1 tiny eye'. Last night I went alone and got 2 missed 8-9. All fish were released to fight another day. It has been 50-50 deadsticks to jigging. Droppers have been good too! Mostly targeting deeper water now, looking for suspended fish. Saddle type areas that have hard bottom and bottom out around 25' seem to be holding alot of fish. I can't wait for warmer weather so we can start hole hopping. -8 is just a we bit cold to be outside at night brrrrrr!!!

Buck Killer what seems to be working on these late season walleyes? you fish the mud flats, the deep breaks, the rock piles or weeds? Depth? what kinda bait are you using? dead stick or jigin? any specific time of the day?

I am guessing the debating got a little too heated in the old one. lol Anywho I was out on Sunday and finally got into some decent sunnies. Ten feet of water with weeds. Found some weeds that were actually standing up a little instead of laid over and I think it may have helped hold fish who knows??? If anyone wants the GPS coords I will start the bidding at 10 dollars. Just kiddin!!! Million dollar idea selling fishing spots on Fish-E-Bay!! If anyone goes through with it gimme some credit at least. grin

Anything going on North or Nelsons flats? I keep moving my house without much luck other than tiny sunnies and perch. I've got a friend from work comming out this weekend with the grand son and would like to put them on some fish.

Hookie what kind of fish or you looking for? sunfish are hit or miss on certain days but you will have better luck on the west side of the lake in the Center Pilsberry area in 10-12 FOW in the millfoil. Walleyes are hard to find this time of year due to the fact with all the traffic and fishing pressure. Good luck

Crappies and sunfish for the most part but if a eye swings by that would be good also. I can't tell forsure if I'm on pilsbury or center now (LOL)I'm out in about 12-13 but think I may have to move in closer. Some weeds down there but not thick by anymeans.

The taller and the thicker the milfoil seems to hold more pan fish, so my guess is move into little shallower water and give that a shot
