Any reports out there? Not looking for specific location. Might try for some panfish on Friday, possibly walleyes.

Idk what the water temps are but we went out yesterday took my brother and a co worker with and we targeted bass. The lake was pretty rough so couldnt get to my normal spots without getting soaked and the water was cold. Spinnerbaits and daredevils were the ticket yesterday. Was one of the best bass days Ive had in about 2 years and all our fish were thrown back we had 2 pb yesterday and its always great when you put people on fish.

Lots of bass in the dead bullrushes the last two days water temp 66. Even got a couple walleyes late night fishing.

Slip bobber bite was good after 11 pm saturday night. had to be over gravel/rock though.

bass fishing was insane monday morning with the glass calm water. got a few really nice smallies on a gravel bar in 3-5 foot, and the largemouth where cruising every where from 12" of water to 8' of water. My 3 year old caught her first fish on monday, a pig of a largemouth, leach, bobber, minnie mouse kids pole. Good times. wrapped up the weekend sticking about 25 buffalo and carp in an hour of shooting.

Hey guys,

I will be on waska july 21-25 with the in laws... Just wonderin if fishing is that bad or is it just that good?? Not many updates on that body of water.. Thanks for the help!!

Sorry...just a really tough spring working around the weather to get projects completed. Pretty sure its the toughest spring I've ever had to deal with and I have had a few tough ones.

Fishing has been great. Really good sunfish bite and the sizes are very nice. Bass and pike all over as usual. Walleyes have been good also but that is just what I have heard as I have not personally had time to get out yet. Yep...that's pretty ridiculous.

I think you will do just fine. If you can't find the sunfish, just follow my parents around. LOL

Fish On!!

Pretty quiet on here lately. I few buddies and i are planning on bouncing up that direction later this week, how has the fishing been? not targeting anything specifically just looking to catch (and release) some fish.

Typical summer patterns. Lake warm at 75-76F. Ws in deeper water (23-25')chasing small perch. Have not seen many sunnies or Ns this year, which seems rather odd. Anyone have any ideas?

should be a good number of fish boated based on how the bite has been the last 2 weeks.

23.66 lbs won for 2 days. Only 1 boat brought 6 fish in both days. So I would say they are not jumping in the boat.

just looked at the day 1 and day 2 weights, recognized a few people that fished the tourney; texted one of them to see what was working to boat fish and he said their biggest problem was finding walleye over 15". they threw back a bunch of 14 3/4" fish. they did get their fish using the same pattern I've been fishing...will be interesting to see how the cooler weather changes things up now. hoping to start getting them again in 5 or less foot of water. that's fun stuff.

Been doing pretty well on eyes on Minnewaska...been trying to guide once a week or so. Took a group out last evening and did very well. Biggest was a 27"...took some pics and let her go. They ended up throwing some smaller ones back and kept 6 nice eaters.

After dropping them off, since I was on the lake anyway, I fished for a couple more hours and landed 9 more and kept 6 nice eaters.

Fishing has been really good on Waska all summer and fall is always a great time to get out after some late season eyes. Fish fry tonight!!

Fish On...and on...and on!

Going to fish Minnewaska on Wednesday evening into the full moon night...anyone have any tips on where to troll for walleye and what depths? Never fished for walleye on this lake, other than panfish.

Made it out at 5 pm. Wind was too strong to head out of Glenwood access, so drove to Starbuck and went out of the marina. Trolled the north side in 15fow and got 3 nice pike. Trolled to the first point where there were some boats and decided to drop anchor. Fished slip bobber with fathead in 10ft and caught 3 walleye. Couple 16", and nice fat 18". The last two were after 8:30 when all other boats left. Trolled north end back to marina and got another 16" in 15fow on a Matzuo Kinchou minnow. Couple cool things, I did catch and measured a 9 1/2 inch sunfish while fishing walleye with fathead. Also, coming into the marina I had headlamp on and saw numerous glowing eyes in shallow...was pretty cool.

Hit the lake Friday night. 53 degree water temp. Kept 2, threw back a few unders. Overall pretty slow.

Made 2 outings between Wednesday and Saturday night and came home with limits both nights. Fishing priests with the 20+ other boats is not the answer.
