Crystal Lake (Dakota) hotspots

Hey anyone know any good spots on Crystal Lake in Burnsville?

Crystal can be a very good lake in the spring. But over the past few years due to over harvest the size of crappies and sunnies has decrease dramatically. You will catch fish, lots of fish, you would really have to work for a meal. It does have good bass, northerns and some very nice muskies too. As the weather warms up the milfoil will consume most of the boat launch but there usually is a channel made by the bigger boats to still go through. But for early season the small southeast bay and around the the peninsula is good to.

thanks. How bout Lac Lavon by the valley middle school or its also the one by Gramsey, the street?

I'd recomend Orchard, or if your willing to drive just a lil farther either Prior or Spring lake for size of fish. Both Orchard and Prior you will get a mixed bag of sunfish sizes (a lot of little ones but some larger ones too). I have yet to do well on Crystal, too MANY tiny bluegills.

Spring can be hard to fish at times, but there are sizeable gills and crappies if you can find them.

Are we talking shore acess or boat? If were talking shore I would suggest the smaller lakes like some of the ponds in Eagan, Alimagent and Lac Lavon.

Looooooooooooooove Lac Lavon me and my friend sight fish for 1-3 pounders right underneath the dock hehehe! i got a boat and canoe. Whats at alimagnet? and have u ever found anything at keller?
