Well I have fished enough on the river to know that confidence is only a breath away from the infamous monkey.

Anyone can catch a monster.......anyone can get the skunk.

Fishing has been good for me the last two or three weeks, but I am due for a goose-egg.

Besides, those that know me should be more worried about my rider............because the rider always gets the big fish in my boat.

Oh, I'm only confident because I've been skunked the last 4 times out. In fact, I haven't caught a channel cat OR a flathead since open water season started! I figure I'm due eventually!

But, there's no sense in hitting the river without a positive attitude, it can only help. If I have to imagine it being a good night simply due to my recent bad luck streak, then so be it

I was wondering if that was you in the boat..... Hanson said Tom and it threw me for a loop, looking over the roster.

Glad to hear that you guys got into some fish, did you guys get any thunder and lightning in the early storm.. It made a lot of noise and spooked the fish pretty good in a lot of areas from what I heard.

Your bad drag???? Double check its not line slipping on the reel, I've had that a few times.

Very litle lightning close but the thunder was alot and yes, it rain pretty hard on us for a 1/2 hour or so.

I checked the spool to see if the line was slipping on the reel and it appeared to not be. The clicker also seems to be lighter than any other Abu of the 6500 series that I own. Since its brand new, I will be simply sending it back to them for a replacement or repair. they are good to work with.

After fishing with Chris for the first time last night, I see he could be on a mission to put the hammer down on the BP cat leaque. My guess, he will be the flathead dude for the year and in the KOTC also. The Hanson Catcraft was onfire. Also, this is not a jinx on Chris, just stating the facts jack.

It was fun fishing with you as a sub and good luck for the remainder of the contest.

Here's the one and only fish that hit the bottom of my boat last night:

I had a good night for flats and channels. We ended up with 5 flats and 2 channels. Biggest channel was 33x18 and best flat was 39x26. Also had a 37" flat and a 27" channel. My rider got his new pb flat too.
