Got my first and second mosquito bites of the year last night.

Sadly no fish though.

A sure sign of good things to come.

Just think how many fish could’ve been caught if the senile captain would have an anchor to two in the boat.

I mean really, who goes fishing on the river without an anchor. Some people I’ll tell ya.

I thought we did a pretty good job without the anchor.....but I think it would have helped. Thanks for giving me something to blame for the first skunk of the season.

I would never forget the anchor,or the lifejackets, or any of those important things.

I will say the water temps were promising at 54 degrees in the channel last night with some creeks at 57 and 58. I couldn't believe we didn't find any whities last night.

I am always happy to help a fellow river rat eliminate unproductive water. Glad I could help last night.

I think I will try a different stretch next time though.
