This lighting/thunder should be the last cup-o-coffee hopefully these flats most likely will need to get the sleep outta their eyes.

I'm just tickled to death when they start biting in May. grin.gif

Still got a few weeks of fishing White Bass and Suckers and then its time to commit some time to the flats.

Hanson,

That is what I think.

With the water temps going on right now, I would say at least 2 weeks before I hit the river for any flats down that way.

I might sneak out for some channels up this way before then though

It comes down to having to find them. Knowing where they are at and when to get them.

I live in Henderson, I dont know what the rain was like up your way to compare it to, but it came down pretty heavy, we had thunder and lightning here. I didnt put the rain gauge out yet so I dont know exactly how much we got. The river will more then likely go up.

I'm loving this rain were getting today! I'd prefer to be cramped up in the office with rain outside over warm, sunny weather any day.

You are correct peder. I would guess as soon as the temps get back into the 60's, those tasty morsels will be popping.

I'll still be hitting the river in the morning. Rain, snow, sleet, it don't matter. Hope there still biting
