zipple bay report 13-14

Recommended Posts

well it started out pretty good.we tried 24 ft caught a few saugers and some nice perch.then we headed out to 28 ft caught some really nice saugers and 2 nice eyes.then we decided to go try a little deeper out in 30ft anf found some more nice saugers and 2 more nice eyes.the eye were suspended 10ft off the bottom.around 5 pm we headed in 18 ft and caught 2 eyes at 18 inches.on monday we headed to the north graceton reef and managed to get 2 16 inch eyes and some more perch.then we were done for the day.not to fast out there we we did manage to get our limits.the ice is very crappy we drill holes and all we got were ice cubes.we also helped a guy save his 4 wheeler out in 24 ft.he was driving on the old roads and found himself a big hole.he was very lucky we were there other wise his 4 wheeler woulda been at the bottom of the big pond.late ice fishing can be tricky.i was told never drive on old roads and old drive ways.cause of the salt off the trucks and stuff can create big holes you will not see them until its to late.nowi cant wait to get the boat up there this spring.
