Furnace Placement ?

I and a guy at work are building a fishhouse. Decided on using a vented furnace. Wondering if it makes a difference what side of the house we place the furnace. Does it make sense to place the furnace on the same side of the house as the door so that the vent is out of the prevailing wind? Would appreciate any input on this. Thanks.

I'd say put it were its works best in your layout. If it doesn't have a blower you might want it centered for a more even heat. If you can do that and keep it out of the wind all the better although the exhaust/intake hoods are designed to work with wind. Something else to consider is the distance from a window.
