Everyone was talking about a night out at the Point to exchange our summer Cass Lake stories.

When would everyone like to get together?

I'm guessing that you are talking about the your restaurant in Chicago. Wish I could go, but I am now closer to Cass Lake than Chicago now. Sounds like it would be fun though...

At least a fellow Redskin replied. Where are all you other guys? Didn't you catch enough this year that you can come up and share your stories?????

We're heading to Mille Lacs Sept. 5-9 with Illinois Outdoors with a group of 50 or so. Anyone like to join us? They'll be taping a show during the outing.

That Mille Lacs outing sounds kind of interesting. What fish will you guys be searching for? Now, I have never been out to Mille Lacs before... and I'm not sure I would want to take my 14' Crestliner out there either. If one thinks Cass can be rough in windy weather, I bet Mille Lacs looks like Lake Michigan in a 10 kt breeze! Maybe when I upgrade to a larger boat next year...

CJ, wish I could hook up with you guys for at least one day but as luck would have it ill be up in the Cass Lake area for the International Tourny that weekend. Mille Lacs is one of my home waters so if you need any help with some spots drop me an E-Mail. Good luck. Thing are starting to heat up around here with the water temps dropping.

We miss the leadership of Ricky Rubio ... Teague is a very bad defender and does not see the floor.  Rubio had his best shooting percentage season ever and career points scored of his career.  Wish we could re-do that trade.   Don't get me going .... among players that play the most minutes ... we are now the 7th oldest team in NBA???   2 year window to win ... we should have kept our talent and let the cake bake! We still have 24" of ice on the bay & we're only 6-8 miles from where they set the nets. Doubt they'll be starting anytime soon over there.

I’m wishing you luck my friend. It’s hard to get away and it can be very deflating when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Hit Green for a couple hours this afternoon, almost zero traffic and the sunnies were active. It’s nice to see this lake is back!

Was out for a while on the Partridge River this afternoon, didn't have any minnows, managed one 13" crappie on Gulp waxes.  But, the old Strikemaster almost bottomed out-close to 30" of ice.

I don't know what your Helix 7 requires in the manual, but a quick look would figure out if that 3amp is too small. Definitely wire your sonar to the motor battery using the correct gauge wire and fuse. If you connect it to another battery, it should be a stand-alone. Connecting to the trolling motor battery will generate interference.
