Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Minnetonka access...

Recommended Posts

cupper

Does anyone have any suggestions for boat access to Minnetonka, preferably close to Chaska? I have used the boat access off of 7 (N of Victoria), but that is not free Friday-Sunday and you have to walk about 2 blocks from parking spot to boat ramp.

Also, what can I expect for boat traffic on the weekends? Insanely busy, or Very busy but tollerable.

Thanks guys!

Where's Walter?

Not sure what to tell you about a launch to use. This weekend will be nuts on Tonka. People have been cooped up so long they'll all be out with their cruisers. Where your life jacket!

Daze Off

Also, I have it on good authority that there are a couple of bass tourneys this weekend (Fri/Sat) that together add up to almost 200 boats....get on early and off early - once the pleasure craft traffic emerges then watch out....

wmn luv me walleye fearme

If you can make it to grays boat launch by
8 a.m. even on the busy days you will be fine getting on. (usually most of the recreation people like to sleep in and the jet skiers are usually hung over to at least 10. No matter what though you will find a wait when you try and get off later. If i fish the weekends I'm on by 5 off by 8 or 9.
Also kind of an odd home page for a teacher wouldn't you say? But to each his own

The Regional park is the closest to you. Just buy the yr license for the Hennepin Parks and your set.

I use that launch when I need exercise or know that if I am not off of Gray's Bay by noon I am doomed....

So thanks to hammer I was clued into my hompage situation. I appologize for anybody whom I offended. When I signed up I didn't list a homepage so I honestly don't know what that was or how it got there. Rest assured, I am not that teacher who everyone is afraid their kids will get.

Got some grouse and saw some nice coveys. The biggest was 6 birds but found couple groups of 5. That is always fun.

we mainly jigged fatheads in front of their mouths. 2 weeks ago also and tried a few different times over 3 days this trip. water is still crazy low so I don't think many boats will be using access. Also tried a couple different plastics and some gulp. Probably ready to go crazy up there soon.  Last year at this time it was really good. Might get there once more before ice time but not sure.

Been thinking about breaking out the Jiggin Raps, might have to give that a shot. It's been too crowded out there this weekend with MEA going on.

Sounds good! May an oversized deer with obscenely large antlers find its way to you!

Well the weather was pretty crappy but the fish were biting...Had to sort through but kept some for dinner. Caught a variety today, eyes, jumbos, crappie and a few smallies... rigging on or next to rocks worked best for us.

Good luck. Maybe we will see you Friday. I will let you know how things are looking by us as the weekend goes by.

I still hope it's double!  I just went over the map with my brother and talked about our options.  We have enough places to go for sure.  It's always fun planning and talking about past hunts. I put out the question to the other two guys about staying in camp vs the house.  We'll see what they decide.  I hauled our "cabin" home from Ely today so we should have plenty of room if they wanna camp.
