Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I wondered before I buy a new boat stereo if anybody would have a clue to what is wrong with my 1 year old Auqatronic and how to repair? I used it Saturday night and was going across some 25 mph wind/chop on the lake and the boat was getting pretty wet. Now I hear these stereos are water sealed, but is it possible it got wet and fried the system? Maybe just letting it air out will correct the problem? The stereo was on and all of a sudden---nothing. Has anyone had the same problem or have the electronic knowledge to what happened?

I wanted to listen to the T-Wolves as I fish this eve. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Thanks.

Check the wiring connections, I would guess there is a fuseable link. Maybe you just blew the fuse

Sounds like a fuse got blown to me, too... if it had fried, you would've heard it...

I checked the fuses on the box last night and they all looked fine. Do you think there is a acual fuse inside the stereo itself? If so, wouldn't the stereo not work at all? I am able to dial staitions, treb/bass and adjust the volume on the face, but no sound and no light on the face plate. It has a detachable face on it. I really think it may of gotten wet from that rough ride. I have it in the house now under a fan in hopes it helps dry it out if that is the problem.

I appreciate your suggestion and will look over the stereo itself for a fuse tonight. I just called Audiovox (aquatronics) and left a message with them in hopes they call me back soon.

Augg, I hate when this **** happens!

Have a great evening! Any other suggestions?

I was just passing through and saw the name of the radio I have in my boat. I had the same thing happen last year at the lake on July 4th. We were water skiing, then after we were done, the radio stopped working. It appeared to be on but there was no sound. I thought that it had something to do with the speakers. I brought it to the dealership and they turned it on with no problems at all. It had sat unused for 2-3 days, and I wondered if maybe something got wet or there was a loose connection. It has worked just fine so far this year. I know that this isn't much help, but I thought that I'd let you know that I had the same thing happen.

Thanks Remmington,
I have a new one ordered at no charge to me, luckly it was still on warrenty. I tried it again last night and it still didn't work.

Audiovox (Aquatronics) is replacing it with a new model, The MC - 1000 has been discontinued for some reason???

If there's a reset button on it (normally on the front), I'd try that. My car stereo has a weird hait of locking up like that at times... everything looks like it's working, but no sound. Or sometimes no buttons work, so you're stuck with the station, CD or whatever at times.. It's happened three times to it, and it's some kind of computer glitch.. something gets stuck in whatever state it was in, and locks up the whole thing. YOu may want to look at that, too.
OR, some stereos have a fuse on the back of the stereo, or on the power wire...

On some of those with detachable faces, there is a little button that helps push the face off the unit. Check to make sure that is moving smoothly, and that it goes in all the way.

I will try those suggestions as well before I make my exchange next Wednesday. I think I have tried every buttom on the stereo, but with look for the reset and the detachable face button.

Thanks!

Also check for water in the fuel filter. At higher rpms water droplets travel to carbs and causes poor combustion. Happened to me some years ago. Had to drain water out of tank.

Skunked, It was nice meeting you.  I've seen you,  your wife and little one a few times, but you never waved-thought you might be mad at me after we had a little debate on netting.  Sounds like were good!  Stop by if you see me on the dock.  That was my wife and sister in-law assembling the bench. That pinch area on the river is tight and some folks tend to fly right thru.  Also, people fishing on that dock in the pinch down area in the spring, don't like to reel in their bobber when you try to navigate through the boats in the spring.  I used the fish the St Louis River a lot and fellow fisherman were terrible flying by you.  I too follow the no-wake policy when going through tight areas.

Yep, done for the year.  Not much for heat or insulation in the cabin.  It's a real, honest to goodness cabin.   So, as of Thursday, adios.  Until next year, etc.

Del, are you done up here for the year?  Missing the best part of the year!  If you see me on the dock or out on the lake..say hi!  I wouldn't just drop in and introduce myself either-not my style.  Don't have to worry too much about anybody climbing the mountain to do that

About 69 this morning.... And this concludes my reporting until sometime in 2018, Lord willing. But I will still be watching....

I will add that it is nothing like the old days when throwing a marker was practically life threatening..... But that is west end.   If it wasn't for the musky  guys there would only be like three of us...

The public access on Grand Lake in Stearns County will be temporarily closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for hand removal of starry stonewort. This temporary closure is necessary for the safety of workers and divers.  A relatively light population of the invasive algae was recently confirmed around the Grand Lake public access, following a coordinated starry stonewort search involving 200 trained detectors in 20 counties. DNR invasive species specialists will hand-pull starry stonewort while preserving native aquatic plants. Starry stonewort has never been eradicated from any lake in the United States, but treatment can ease access and recreational use of a lake, while helping to reduce the risk of infestation to other water bodies. Discuss below - to view set the hook here.

Skunked.  Reruns on late nite so watch Hooker for laughs. Never saw it much in 1983. Shatter is Kirk as Hooker. To fun. He an his three self trained rookies are the answer to everything  the only squad with action an Hooker solves every case by end of show ending with a real dramatic line an stop action shot  acting is really bad but fun. City neeeds Hooker an he an crew kick it into high gear. Real 80's corn. Locklear n James Darren an Adrain Zmed prove trying to act is not hard but acting is. Total fun an totally predictable. Best lure I been use in is a simple black buck tail an a huge ol red n white spoon. Wallys like my raps dragged on a 2oz bottom bouncer an pike for some reason been eating my worms on a floaty. Smaller are a hoot an my Hounds love the action. Speaking of action. I have never seen a show with as much running in it as TJ Hooker. Ol Capt. Kirk is always on the go. "You call it in. I'll get'nm". "I want him bad. Ya hear. BAD".   :  ). I sure miss my pup Moe Rock. Bummer so this is a treat. Keep on rocken!  Fish on. T
