4 posts in this topic

the water temp on monday was 54-55degs.the guys who are working the dam are having some sucess.it seems the best place is the sand in about 12ft.of water there pitching a 3/8 oz ikes hair jig tipped with a fat head.pitch it right up into shore and let the current bring it out.also try sonars they seem to be working also.no really large fish yet but alot of 17-20inchers.as the water cools the bigger fish will move up to the dam. Please pratice C P R .ill try to keep you updated.if you would like more info call or stop in the store.good luck IKE.

Ike,

Water was pretty high and fast on Sunday last weekend. When do you think the water will start to get lower if we don't get anymore rain the near future?

I caught ALL sauger last Sunday. Not one walleye. Are guys catching a mixed bag? Or are the walleyes just behind the saugers and aren't there yet.

Chipes I would think if the GODS turn off the rain the water should start to come down.there is alot of current but you should be able to get down with a 3/8oz jig most the fish being caught are sauger with a few walleye mixed in.nice fish 17-20 inchers.the walleyes will fallow soon.ill try to keep updating. good luck IKE

My garage roof is leaking from last few weeks and i am very much tensed about it because i have tried many things to block the leaks but nothing can prevent it.So i must call Roof Repair expert for this or is there any way to prevent those leaks.

Thanks. So it hasn't changed much then. Still might go give it a whirl!

If you haven't read it yet, a couple of slobs are about to ruin it for the rest of us. Pick up your garbage and respect private property. The land owners who allow access to the lower sucker river are about to shut it down because they are so fed up with it. http://minnesotasteelheader.blogspot.com

With the wind being fairly strong today I opted to hit the back waters of Little Rock. Have done goid there in yrs past.... so I figured it would be worth a shot. Finding crappies was pretty easy, they were holding tight to the brush and downed trees. Finding crappies over 8inches was tough...lol.  I don't think I broke 9inches. But did manage one big carp. Guessing right around 30in, pulled me and the yak all over the lake before I got it boat side

Hit the one down by Watkins a couple times this winter. There were a lot of people that fished it this last winter. Got gills and crappies of all different sizes. If your looking for keeper size fish, other area lakes will provide better numbers. Haven't been on the other one of  in a few yrs. There were good numbers of 6-7in sunfish if I remember right.
